Chapter 46. Acceptance of the Rules
1. Приняв ученика, Мастер объясняет ему правила, которых нужно держаться, следуя по Пути. Эти правила даны Мастерами прошлого. Правила – есть их личный опыт странствий по Пути к свободе.
1. Having accepted a disciple, the Master explains the rules to be followed while following the Path. These rules are given by the Masters of the past. The rules are the result of their personal experiences of wandering the Path to freedom.
2. Он говорит, что следование правилам Мастеров дает колоссальную силу и власть над грезами, снами своего разума, увеличивает сияние и делает Дух ученика отрешенным и неуязвимым.
2. He says that following the Masters' rules grants colossal strength and control over the dreams of one's mind, increases radiance, and makes the disciple's spirit detached and invulnerable.
3. В начале Пути дух ученика слаб, его сияние невелико, а отрешенность и воля не развиты, поэтому для него идти по Пути без правил хуже, чем вообще не идти.
3. At the beginning of the Path, the disciple's spirit is weak, their radiance is low, and their detachment and willpower are undeveloped. Therefore, for them, following the Path without rules is worse than not following it at all.
4. Правила подобны щитам-хранителям, день и ночь стерегущим Дух ученика от врагов и ловушек на Пути.
4. The rules are like guardian shields, guarding the disciple's spirit day and night from enemies and traps on the Path.
5. Ученик, умело применяющий правила, легко обретает отрешенность и входит в поле Игр Беспредельного. Неспособность соблюдать правила указывает на то, что запас сияния ученика невелик, у него нет отрешенности и гибкости, и его Путь будет бесконечно труден и вряд ли завершится в этой жизни.
5. A disciple who skillfully applies the rules easily attains detachment and enters the field of the Games of the Infinite. Failure to observe the rules indicates that the student's reserve of radiance is small, he lacks detachment and flexibility, and his Path will be endlessly difficult and unlikely to be completed in this life.
