Chapter 70. Stages of Freedom
1. Вначале ученик усердно помнит себя, чтобы не потерять свет ясности. Его свет ясности подобен стреле, летящей в цель, а его знания подобны росе, которая медленно испаряется под действием солнечных лучей.
1. At first, the disciple diligently practices self-remembrance so as not to lose the light of clarity. His light of clarity is like an arrow flying toward its target, while his knowledge is like dew that slowly evaporates under the rays of the sun.
2. Затем свет ясности становится постоянным и спонтанным, а скованность знанием исчезает свободно, как расходятся круги на воде или как затихает эхо в горах.
2. Subsequently, the light of clarity becomes constant and spontaneous, while the constriction of knowledge dissolves freely—just as ripples on water disperse, or as an echo in the mountains fades away.
3. Когда свет ясности глубок, Мастер созерцает естественное, и его знание исчезает мгновенно, не находя опоры в грезах. Тогда говорят, что Мастер ежесекундно пребывает в свободе от того, что знает, а его знания подобны ворам, крадущимся, чтобы украсть у нищего. Когда они появляются, им нет причины задерживаться.
3. When the light of clarity runs deep, the Master contemplates the Natural State, and his knowledge vanishes instantly, finding no foothold in illusory dreams. It is then said that the Master abides, moment by moment, in freedom from that which he knows; his knowledge is like thieves creeping in to steal from a beggar—the moment they appear, they find no reason to linger.
4. Лучшие Мастера, жители неба, небесные странники, хранители знаний видят то, что они знают, как Игру излучения Беспредельного, как его украшения, и это видение наилучшее. Поэтому их Игры со знанием непостижимы, глубоки, изысканны и настолько тонки, что распознать их может только Мастер.
4. The finest Masters—dwellers of the heavens, celestial wanderers, and guardians of knowledge—perceive that which they know as the Play of the Infinite’s Radiance, as His very adornments; and this perception is the highest of all. Thus, their interactions with knowledge are unfathomable, profound, exquisite, and so subtle that they can be discerned only by another Master.
