Plant has been a longtime fan of

Skip Spence and the famous 1960s band Moby Grape. He had previously covered their songs "Nakedlf I Want To" and "805."

He also performed his versions of Moby Grape songs in concert – "Lazy Me" with Priory

of Brion and "Sitting By The Window" with Strange Sensation.

For the album "Dreamland," he chose the little-known

"Skip's Song," the original demo version of which

appeared in 1967 and was later included on Moby Grape's 1969 album "Seeing."

"Even before John Bonham, Jimmy Page, and I met, I'd covered almost half of Moby Grape's songs," Plant recalls. "I really wanted to pick them up again, and I especially liked 'Skip's Song'—it stems from the dark, deep doubts and confusion that Skip must have been going through. I thought it was a really great song: I picked it up and went for it."
