The waves cease to toss boulders,
И вода надевает серебряный пояс
And the water dons a silver belt
Отражённого света луны.
Of reflected moonlight.
Я спокоен недвижностью вечного снега,
I am calm in the stillness of eternal snow,
Что горит на изломах высоких вершин,
That burns on the ridges of high peaks,
Но не тает, а мощь набирает для бега
But does not melt, but gathers strength for the run
Всё сметающих в ярости белых лавин.
Of white avalanches that sweep away all in their fury.
Я спокоен, как воздух старинной мечети,
I am calm, like the air of an ancient mosque,
Как спокойны поля, где посевы взойдут по весне.
As calm as the fields where crops will sprout in spring.
Я спокоен, как спящие в сумерках дети,
I am calm, like children sleeping in the twilight,
Что беседуют с Богом во сне.
Who converse with God in their sleep.
Испытания жизни меня не согнули,
Life's trials have not bent me,
И пока я живу на земле,
And as long as I live on earth,
Я спокоен великим спокойствием пули
