Разделяют как рекою

И в ее смертельных водах
And in its deadly, churning waters,
Тонут прежние мечты
Our former dreams sink down below.
И, когда не зная брода

Сразу прыгаешь ты в воду

Прямо в омут с головою

Как будто не во сне наяву
It felt less like a dream than waking life.
И я тонул не раз уходя на дно
I sank and drowned—not once, but many times—
Потом опять всплывал знал что всё равно
Yet rose again, for deep within I knew
Спасёт меня любовь и когда-нибудь
That love itself would surely rescue me,
К любимой всё же я доплыву
And someday, I would finally reach my love.
