И отвечал Софар Наамитянин и сказал:
Then Zophar the Na'amathite answered and said:
размышления мои побуждают меня отвечать, и я поспешаю выразить их.
My thoughts prompt me to answer, and I hasten to express them.
Упрек, позорный для меня, выслушал я, и дух разумения моего ответит за меня.
I have heard a reproach that is shameful to me, and the spirit of my understanding will answer for me.
Разве не знаешь ты, что от века, с того времени, как поставлен человек на земле, -
Do you not know that from of old, since man was placed on the earth,
веселье беззаконных кратковременно, и радость лицемера мгновенна?
the rejoicing of the wicked is short-lived, and the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment?
Хотя бы возросло до небес величие его, и голова его касалась облаков, -
Though his greatness reaches to the heavens, and his head touches the clouds,
как помет его, на веки пропадает он; видевшие его скажут: где он?
like his dung, he perishes forever; those who saw him will say, "Where is he?"
Как сон, улетит, и не найдут его; и, как ночное видение, исчезнет.
Like a dream, he will fly away, and they will not find him; and like a night vision, he will vanish.
Глаз, видевший его, больше не увидит его, и уже не усмотрит его место его.
The eye that saw him will see him no more, and his place will no longer behold him.
Сыновья его будут заискивать у нищих, и руки его возвратят похищенное им.
His children will beg from the poor, and his hands will return what he has stolen.
Кости его наполнены грехами юности его, и с ним лягут они в прах.
His bones are full of the sins of his youth, and they will lie with him in the dust.
Если сладко во рту его зло, и он таит его под языком своим,
If evil is sweet in his mouth, and he hides it under his tongue,
бережет и не бросает его, а держит его в устах своих,
cherishes it and does not let it go, but keeps it in his mouth,
то эта пища его в утробе его превратится в желчь аспидов внутри его.
then this food of his in his stomach will turn into the venom of asps within him.
Имение, которое он глотал, изблюет: Бог исторгнет его из чрева его.
The wealth he swallowed he will vomit up; God will cast it out of his belly.
Змеиный яд он сосет; умертвит его язык ехидны.
He sucks the poison of serpents; the tongue of the viper will kill him.
Не видать ему ручьев, рек, текущих медом и молоком!
He will not see the streams, the rivers flowing with honey and milk!
Нажитое трудом возвратит, не проглотит; по мере имения его будет и расплата его, а он не порадуется.
He will return what he gained by labor, he will not swallow it; according to his wealth will be his recompense, and he will not rejoice.
Ибо он угнетал, отсылал бедных; захватывал домы, которых не строил;
For he oppressed, he sent away the poor; he seized houses that he did not build;
не знал сытости во чреве своем и в жадности своей не щадил ничего.
he knew no satiety in his belly and in his greed spared nothing.
Ничего не спаслось от обжорства его, зато не устоит счастье его.
Nothing escaped his gluttony, therefore his happiness will not endure. In the fullness of his abundance, he will be in distress; every hand of the wronged will be raised against him.
В полноте изобилия будет тесно ему; всякая рука обиженного поднимется на него.
When he has enough to fill his belly, God will send upon him the fury of His wrath and rain down diseases upon his flesh.
Когда будет чем наполнить утробу его, Он пошлет на него ярость гнева Своего и одождит на него болезни в плоти его.
If he flees from the iron weapon, the bronze bow will pierce him;
Убежит ли он от оружия железного, пронзит его лук медный;
he will try to pull out the arrow, and it will come out of his body, coming out, gleaming through his bile; the terrors of death will come upon him!
станет вынимать стрелу, и она выйдет из тела, выйдет, сверкая сквозь желчь его; ужасы смерти найдут на него!
All darkness is hidden within him; fire will consume him, unquenched by anyone; evil will befall even what remains in his tent.
Все мрачное сокрыто внутри его; будет пожирать его огонь, никем не раздуваемый; зло постигнет и оставшееся в шатре его.
Heaven will reveal his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him.
Небо откроет беззаконие его, и земля восстанет против него.
The possessions of his house will vanish; everything will be scattered on the day of His wrath.
Исчезнет стяжание дома его; все расплывется в день гнева Его.
This is the portion of the wicked man from God, and the inheritance appointed to him by the Almighty!
Вот удел человеку беззаконному от Бога и наследие, определенное ему Вседержителем!
